This piece was created for my “I Reworked My Old Artwork... and other thrifted art” video. The thrifted landscape painting was layered with a split printed vintage portrait and acrylics. The piece took inspiration from the large textured ridge created by the original landscape artist that divides the portrait like a torn photograph. The result is both tragic and hopeful - tearing apart and reconstructing.
